Teddy Tracy, LPC, is a counselor trained in Art Therapy. They received their bachelor's degree in social work at Portland State University and their master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling with a specialization in Art Therapy from Lesley University. Teddy has received additional training in domestic violence intervention, support for survivors of sexual assault, and has worked extensively with families experiencing housing insecurity. Teddy has provided individual and group counseling services in various settings, including day treatment centers, residential rehabilitation programs, and LGBTQ counseling centers. Teddy’s approach integrates art, movement, and talk therapy modalities and is tailored to meet the age and ability needs of each individual. Teddy also values an intersectional and social justice lens to mental health work, honoring that our mental wellness is inherently connected to the health, safety, and resources of our communities. When working with younger clients, Teddy uses a child-centered play therapy approach that supports children with developmental growth, emotional expression, and strengthening social skills. By providing a safe therapeutic environment, they encourage children to use their natural language of play to explore their inner world and express themselves more confidently.
