Crystal Swenson, LCPC, ATR, is a clinical counselor and art therapist. She received a master's degree in art therapy and counseling (MAATC) at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. Crystal has received training and certifications in crisis prevention, intersectional, trauma-informed approaches, and gender-affirming therapeutic care. She has worked in wide variety of settings as an clinical art therapist including residential work with youth and family with complex trauma histories, community mental health with marginalized youth and families that are at higher risk for neighborhood violence, as well as in gender-affirming healthcare and mental health settings supporting youth and adults at various stages for over 5 years and counting. 

Crystal’s approach to treatment includes integrative, trauma-informed, relational, and person-centered interactions unique to each client. She aims to view the client in a holistic manner to support all aspects of a clients identity. Her passion lies in a creative and inclusive approach to meet clients at the level they feel comfortable engaging while building an aligned rapport with the client.
