Crystal Swenson, LCPC, ATR-BC, is a clinical counselor and board-certified art therapist with a master’s degree in Art Therapy and Counseling (MAATC) from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. With over six years of experience, Crystal has supported youth, adults, and families across diverse settings, including residential programs for those with complex trauma, community mental health services for marginalized populations impacted by neighborhood violence, and gender-affirming healthcare environments.
She is trained in crisis prevention, intersectional, trauma-informed approaches, and gender-affirming therapeutic care. Crystal’s integrative style combines relational, person-centered, and creative methods to meet each client where they are. She is committed to viewing clients holistically, honoring all aspects of identity, and fostering a therapeutic space that feels inclusive, safe, and collaborative.
Crystal’s passion lies in helping clients engage in the healing process in ways that feel authentic and empowering—whether through traditional talk therapy, creative expression, or a blend of both.
