Alif "Al" Muhammad, LCPC, NCC, is a clinical counselor. He received his bachelor's degree from Saint Xavier University and his master's degree in Community Counseling at the Illinois School of Professional Psychology. Al has received additional training in anxiety and ADHD. Before Seasons Within, Al worked as a caseworker and teacher in various settings over a span of 15 years, including self-contained public school classrooms and social work facilities. Al has a depth of experience providing play and talk therapies to children and has over 5 years of experience providing individual counseling. His specialties include autism, ADHD, mood disorders, and anxiety disorders.
Al's approach is informed by an eclectic blend of methods that are informed by DBT mindfulness techniques, ACT principles, and the internal family systems (IFS) model.
