 Pediatric Art Therapist

We’re looking for a Pediatric Art Therapist to join our team!

Our practice is inclusive, intersectional, neurodiversity-affirming, relational, strength-based, and trauma-informed. We serve clients across the lifespan, but our child art therapy services are in especially high demand. If you’re passionate about helping children express themselves through art and supporting families in their healing journey, we’d love to connect with you.

About the Role:
We’re seeking a clinician who brings creativity, curiosity, and a strong grounding in clinical theory to their work. This role is ideal for an art therapist who enjoys collaborating with families and providing parenting support and psychoeducation as part of the therapeutic process. We value clinicians who are reflective, open to feedback, and committed to supervision and continued learning as part of their professional growth.

This position is for a therapist to see clients Tuesdays (3–8 PM) and Saturdays (9 AM–3 PM) in person at our Oak Park office.

What You’ll Do:

• Provide art therapy for children ages 3–12, as well as family sessions and parent consultations
• Integrate theory and evidence-based approaches into your clinical work
• Assess clients for fit with outpatient treatment and develop initial treatment plans
• Maintain a consistent caseload and complete required documentation
• Participate actively in supervision, consultation, and team collaboration
• Engage in ongoing learning and reflective practice
   

What You Bring:

• Master’s degree in Art Therapy (MAATC) or similar field
• Full and unrestricted Illinois counseling license (LPC or LCPC)
• At least two years of experience working with children in a mental health or related setting
• Experience providing parenting support and collaborating with families
• Commitment to trauma-informed, socially just, and anti-racist practice
• Ability to work in person in Oak Park

• Are trained in gender-affirming care, family systems therapy, CBT, or DBT
• Enjoy connecting theory to practice and thinking deeply about your clinical work
