MoBella Russo, MA, ATR-P, is a clinical counselor and art therapist. MoBella received a Bachelor in Fine Art from the University of Illinois at Chicago and a Masters in Art Therapy and Counseling partially at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and Southern Illinois University Edwardsville. She has received training in cultural humility within the therapeutic context, LGBTQIA+ Queer discovery/affirming, trauma sensitivity/support, and expressive arts. They have extensive clinical experience with neurodivergent individuals and groups. Her approach to psychotherapy involves an eclectic attunement towards the client being centered, while offering mindfulness based safe somatic explorations. MoBella is passionate about observing the ways that art can interact between the client and therapeutic goals. Art material exploration in art therapy may become a catalyst to explore internal thoughts/feelings more deeply. She emphasizes empathy with compassionate listening, while creating a safe space to hold your story together. Guiding her clients towards resources and tools to live the life they desire and find self-empowerment and connection to community.
